Home Church exists to lead people into a relationship with Jesus Christ, help them find their place in His Church and become all that God intended them to be.
We see this summarised through three words:
We consider reaching people with the good news of Jesus Christ and leading them to a place where they can believe in His name to be one of our greatest responsibilities. We see this in our day-to-day life with those we encounter. Although our weekend services are for people at all stages in their spiritual journey, they will always be relevant to the lost and unchurched.
"You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
Acts 1:8 (NIV)
"If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Romans 10:9 (NIV)
God is building a home, a place we can belong, grow in our faith and in relationship with each other. This happens when the welcome is genuine, real friendships are formed and everyone feels at home.
"That’s plain enough, isn’t it? You’re no longer wandering exiles. This kingdom of faith is now your home country. You’re no longer strangers or outsiders. You belong here, with as much right to the name Christian as anyone. God is building a home. He’s using us all—irrespective of how we got here—in what he is building. He used the apostles and prophets for the foundation. Now he’s using you, fitting you in brick by brick, stone by stone, with Christ Jesus as the cornerstone that holds all the parts together. We see it taking shape day after day—a holy temple built by God, all of us built into it, a temple in which God is quite at home."
Ephesians 2:19-22 (MSG)
The life Jesus has called us to live is an expansive adventure. It's important to remember that Christianity is a lifestyle to be lived. It's a journey we must work on every day. With the help of The Holy Spirit, we can become all God has called us to be.
"Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."
Philippians 1:6 (NIV)
"For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago."
Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)
